Made my first YB espresso using the decaf. My wife commented that it’s bitter. Should I grind finer or courser?
accepted wisdom is coarser to reduce bitterness.
There's a recent Lance Hedrick video on decaf (linked by someone else a page or so ago) in which he suggests pulling faster shots for decaf. Might be worth giving that a try - Grind courser and pull in 20-25 seconds?
I always have to grind much coarser for decaf.
