What is this area behind the windscreen of a car / bus commonly called in english?
I always thought it's the / it's part of the "dashboard" (but now realize the dashboard is rather where all the instruments are that are facing the driver).
Google suggests "cowl" or "cowling", but I feel that is a very technical term?
