    I’ve not looked at the numbers but my gut feel is Labour did no better than under Corbyn, they won big because Reform split the Tory vote.

  • Your gut feel is partly right. Labour under Corbyn mainly increased their vote in seats they already held, the difference between the 2019 campaign and this one is that the focus was on winning seats Labour had their best chance of winning, not increasing their share of the vote in seats they already held.
