Can anybody point me in the direction of a single speed racy gravel bike? I really want to run 27.5x2.1 at least. I can only think of the Stormchaser, anything I’m missing? Thanks and ta.

Good call I’d forgotten about them. Just not sure on the clearance for 2.1s although they do fit Liz’s same year Giant so maybe?

How wide, in mms, is a 2.1 tyre, 55 mm or so?

Some of the Checkpoints also have the stranglehold dropout, which is how you tension the chain.

My alu Checkpoint won't clear a 2.1", suspect that won't either. 700c 45mm is pretty good though.

Bombtrack Outlaw?
Not quite sure about max tyre clearance

Think I'm just going to go back to a 5-port under stem junction for the Crux and forget the bar-end junction and the bullshit carbon bars.
If I get a chunkier alu bar it'll mean I can stick aerobars on it since I might need to use this bike with fat tyres for Mille Miglia in August for collarbone shock prevention.
Thinking something like 42 flared to 44 or 46. Any suggestions? Could possibly just use the Crux bars but I was going to throw them on my partner's Bokeh (think they were wider than hers).

I love my ritchey bendy bars but I guess they're a bit marmite

I rate my salsa cowbells. Not ridiculously flared and comfy/secure in the drops

I know nothing about beep boop devices, but I just got these Rovals from Certini for 1fiddy
Internal Di2 routing on each drop and junction EW-RS910 compatibility on both

Alu? Yep

They don't look too offensive. I'll mostly be road riding on this thing I reckon coz I've got the MTBs and I did Badlands on 38cm road bars so I dunno I guess I could probably stay smaller sized.
What I should do is measure the dimensions of my other bars.. if only the bike wasn't still in Portugal.

'spensive if you want Di2 routing. EDIT: Ahh right, they're cheaper at Certini. Thanks.
I was looking at the 400EUR Beast bars with their flared tops too but I reckon I could just add those Redshift wing things to try that option out for cheaps.

I have a pair of cowbell 2 (I think) going spare - maybe 44cm or 46cm
I’ll take a look this evening

I'm a fan of the Easton ALX bars with 10deg flare. There's enough space on the round section to mount aero bars too.

Those are the ones! I wish I'd matched my road bike width (which is 38cm) rather than going wider to 40cm on the gravel bike. Because it makes naff all difference to "control" off road, but does impact comfort riding on too-wide bars

That looks pretty good but is there a heavier, cheaper version?

Surly corner bar?

Depends what you ride and how you ride though. My partners bike feels ridic to me when we swapped bikes during El Piri. I ended up putting 42cm gravel bars on the Tripster and they were much nicer for rougher stuff. I still have 42cm on the Tarmac so I think I'm still within normal ranges and not going into "drop bar MTB" territory.

No, just their normal road and gravel bars
https://beast-components.de/en/gravel/gravel-bar/
They have a built up area near the tops/hoods which is where I spend most time so would presumably be good news for reducing pressure on my palms during ultras
