That first guy has another good video:

I'm following, reading his books and magazines as I really like his approach to photography rooted in his own past and current life experiences as well as inspired by other photographers.
Great videos and not too many to make it hard to follow

Had a re-watch and it's still not clear why the tape's there.

I can only guess it is covering up some personal information. They must own a lot of kit, maybe it's all marked.

Glass? Subscription model but it has a nice interface both on mobile and on the web. No like count and some nice interactions. https://glass.photo/chris_wltn
Foto (currently in beta) promises an old school Instagram feel, but not sure how they'll ever get the numbers up enough to be viable. It feels pretty dead at the moment.
Reddit is sometimes good but a lot of inane chatter in between the great stuff.
This post has given me the kick I needed to explore Flickr again :)

Ravilious is king - such a superb and fascinating body of work from a small geographical area.

..quite good, thank you!
I enjoyed the ones with Ian Howorth and Phil Sharp, also the "Why noone cares about your photography" bit π

Pleasure!
I'm reading his book and it's quite good too. I can kinda listen to him while I read. He has this pace and tone...

To photographers in Germany -
been to (drugstore) Rossmann for the first time in a while yesterday - and saw they do offer this Kentmere 400 b&w film now.
Never used it before, did any of you?Ps: price for the UltraMax seems ok as well - yet stupidly it's the 24exp version π

I've never used it so take this with a pinch of salt, but I'm sure I read somewhere that it's quite low-contrast. No idea how it relates to the rest of the Harman/Ilford films.
Has anyone got any experience with Kodak Double-X? I'm interested in giving it a go but have read that it might be a bit unforgiving compared to most b&w stocks.

Kentmere 400 is what I've been using for a while now, just got another 10 rolls of it the other day.
I develop it in R09 One Shot and it comes out pretty contrasty.
Will see if I have any example images I can post...
These have been scanned on my cheap neh scanner, not sure what processing itβs doing so contrast might have been bumped up.
Iβve done enlargement of Kentmere negs and I usually dial up a bit of, is it magenta ? filter which adds contrast but thatβs enough to make them plenty contrasty for me.

I bought a bunch of Kentmere 400, been pushing it one stop but it's meant to be really good at 1600. It's cheaper because it's got less silver in so I think it should be more contrasty?

I did a roll of CineStill BWXX which is the same stock, wasn't worth it for me over Ilford.

Never used the Kentmere stuff but all the images Iβve seen with it on here have all been bangers.

I liked this. Any idea why they would put black tape over the top of camera?
