Brompton owners

Was thinking about how geometry in bikes has changed so much in the last 40 years, especially MTB. Brompton is pretty locked into their design, but say for example with the new T line, have they changed the geometry at all to improve handling? If not, could the handling be improved through minor geometry tweaks (including small changes in tube lengths etc) without compromising the great fold?

I would argue that the riding style and terrain of MTB has changed, but for Brompton it is largely the same. Not that I have ridden my Brompton for that long of course.

The blurb says they have made adjustments to the geometry. I haven’t ridden the T line, but the longer wheelbase brought out 10 years ago does make a perceptible difference in steering sensitivity.

I believe they used to ship them to a sprayers in Wales, but these days it is done in-house.

Hackney Peddler? Could check with them.

I've taken mine to both Mario Vaz and Aurum. The pink was powder-coated, whilst the orange was wet sprayed. I've recently repainted the orange one as it was looking a bit tatty.

Whoop whoop! Came 32 😅

Once you go through these marathon plus tyres, do switch to urban conti. You’ll appreciate the better ride quality and rolling resistance when pedalling. Plus IMO they have far superior grip too.

Side note, G-line is in euro bikes 2024, but it is behind closed doors and only invites/retailers are allowed to get the first look.
