The last section of autostrada has proven too much for one of the Muc Off disc brake covers- surprisingly the rear one.

Lovely to see! I strongly suggest you to also go to the gelateria! Let me know what you got there :)

How did all your engine mods work out? I couldn't find any dyno numbers. More importantly, can you overtake like a motorbike?

If you need a hotel near Porta Nuova Hotel Urbani is a very decent option. I'll leave the local tips to @Marcootsee but Torino is well worth the visit IMHO.

Seems I have made a silly mistake- assumed staying with Bike Morzine would be the same irrespective of the location, but the place I’m in has almost none of the amenities of previous years. No bike wash, no washing machine, no dinner, no fridge, no lounge, no kitchen, and just a single bed with the bike stored in an old nightclub.
Seven hours of driving and this is presenting a challenge to my moral fibre, which I hope will be addressed by having some dinner.

Totally my fault for making assumptions I’d point out, but it’s looking a bit miserable at the moment.

That's a nightmare. I hope you get moved to somewhere better.

It’s odd, the lady I booked with says that they don’t do the shared chalet model since Covid- but I stayed with them in ‘22, and I just walked past two of their shared chalets and they’re branded up and busy. Maybe they hire them out complete, but I can’t see how that’s easier than renting out rooms which was their old model.
I can move- but I lose the money I paid as it’s my mistake, which I admit it is.
Without an income that’s a bit of a step to take.

are there any local facilities in the area which you could use? might be worth doing some exploring.

Ok, I think I know what the issue is/was- me being stupid, mainly.
I thought that Atlas Ski Co and Bike Morzine were the same company- changed names for different season/sport.
Looks like that’s not correct and it’s Atlas Ride Co in the summer. No idea how I managed this mix up.
Anyway, should have booked with Atlas as they’re way better value. Might move there next week.

Ok - not really Porsche related: both companies have a lady called Tina who handles bookings, which I didn’t have the mental acuity to process. So I must have decided all ladies called Tina worked for the company I had stayed with before.
I’m going to move later today I think.

The Sarenne is lovely if a little narrow near the top….

Yes, loose gravel on the turns also focuses the mind (and the ABS once).
