  • Is this advertising targeted or blanket across MailOnline base. If the former, then it's no surprise that @dubtap profile is seen as potential Labour voter and is part of generic media buy which happens to include Mail. Definitely more interesting if they are going all in on mass advertising on the Mail

  • Worth pointing out that the Daily Mail and Mail Online customers are treated entirely separately (source: other half did a customer anayltics gig for the DM) - the only commonality between the two editorial, AFAIK.

DM readers are soon-to-be-dead Farah slacks wearers (their biggest money spinner, with a reader base that is never refreshed), and MO readers are, well, everyone.

  • The front page of DM print today is Boris urging people to avoid Starmergeddon whilst online version says yes please to Labour cash is the best. Those screenshots were from Who Targets Me who say it's a full buy as well as The Sun online which has same wall to wall adverts.
Labour bought the space as soon as elec announced and found the Conservatives hadn't bothered.

  • It's incredible how badly run the Tory campaign is. Or not.

  • Maybe he means put them forward as reform candidates so they won't be sitting in parliament for the Tories?

  • looking at the last five weeks you might wonder, if the Conservatives can’t seem to run a smooth campaign how can they run the country?

Laura K on the ball as ever in her latest column.

  • Had she sussed the gig is up?

  • I was talking to a R4 journalist recently, who when asked if the news room had a bet on when Kuennsberg would go to GB News replied that she was a journalist 'well-respected by management', there was a grin to accompany this comment.

  • If only she knew someone who could have held the government to account for the last decade. 🤷

  • Warning: the conspiracy against poor Nigel continues to grow and has now expanded to include a 'dishonest QT audience.' Without action, I fear this could soon spread to Scouts groups, bus drivers, vendoring machines, and ultimately, people with the right to vote.

  • He’s refusing to go on Kuennsberg until he gets an apology about that “dishonest QT audience” - we can only hope that he boycotts the BBC and de-platforms himself but suspect that will all be part of “an extraordinary establishment stitch up”.

  • I am quite involved in my son's Scouts group. They all have their level 15 conspiracy badges now.

  • i’m not one to talk but that comma is wrong

  • The Reform candidate I know and referred to above has been dropped by Reform (although too late to remove from the ballot paper) presumably because he is too bigoted and/or racist for them and/or “you simply don’t say these things in public, dear boy”.

However, Reform are still recommending that people vote for him.

More evidence of Farage’s honesty and straight talking

  • I don't understand why people ask Farage to distance himself from bigoted racists, isn't that exactly what he is and why people want to vote for him?

  • Need to avoid scaring the normies- have to get their votes to win alongside the outright fash.

On the car forum I’m on what is interesting is that the Reform voters to a man reject the far right/radical right label and claim they’re centre-right. Which at least shows they know that the BNP etc are “too far”, but also dreadful critical thinking skills/self reflection ability.

  • Labour were out in force this afternoon in our village. We’ve never had a canvasser in the 15 years I’ve lived here. Got to meet the candidate, Devina Paul, we talked back and forth about tactical voting, PR and press reform. I’m persuaded.

I help introduce them to the neighbours on the road and they where getting a positive reception all round.

  • You salt the lawn and brick the windows!

  • What is your constituency? If you don’t mind me asking.

  • Hamble valley, I was all ready to vote Lib Dem, the tactical voting website seems to have it as a dead heat between Labour and the Lib Dem, or just in favour of Labour.

They said they where talking to a lot of small c elderly tory voters in the village that wanted to vote for the next government and where switching to Labour rather than the Lib Dem’s, which rings true with me.

  • That's great news. My wife and I were out canvassing in Mid Derbys today but came across a couple of Tory convertees and others who were prepared to lend Labour a vote to oust the Tory incumbent

  • Thank you for your efforts, seeing them out working hard made me feel like I really should join them.
