Trying to decide between GRX 2x12 vs 105 2x12 on my Dolan GXC. At least to begin it’s going to be mainly roads and trying out gravel routes near me. From my reading it would appear the main difference is the clutched rear mech and the gearing options?
My current plan is to go 105 with a compact chainset, at 11-36 cassette. That will give be < 1:1 and still the 50 t for road riding. Then if I find myself riding a lot of gravel swap out the rear mech to the clutched GRX as they are compatible between the two froupsets from what I can see.
