I'm telling him to hold on to it for a couple of years until the market improves but he wants to try and get get a half decent price for it now. Just trying to work out what a half decent price is for one right now. He knows he's going to take a hit. He wants the money for a mortgage which is a much better investment. He probably should have done that first ay 🙄 maybe he should also lose his best part of 200 quid a week wank wagon as well whilst he's at it but he's one of them and you can't tell these kids.
I think anyone that has a nearly 10 year old watch that they don't even like and is still covered in cellophane. They probably bought it as an investment. He wanted to hold on to it much longer term but needs the money for something much more sensible. Not good timing for selling so he's trying to limit his losses. If he asked me to recommend a watch for a couple of grand to wear regularly I'd say have a look at something like an Oris in the sales. I hate the idea of investment watches. I dislike this model anyway but all that bollocks that often goes with buying a Rolex even puts me off the couple of models I do like.
