Nice. Is there a ding on the rear rim?
-
• #5231
Good job, glad you sorted the electronic shifting without drilling the frame.

ding on the rear rim?
Opposite the valve?
Nope it's just the join and an artefact of the photo angle plus the slightly wonky paint.

Bike looks great! How’s the shifting?
-

Incredible
Had to tweak the front mech a little bit after riding for a few Kms, but it is now silent, fast and positive.
The ability to shift when pushing hard out of the saddle is like witchcraft.
I've got shift assist on at the moment, so it moves two sprockets when shifting chainring, to compensate for the ratio jump. It's nice.

when pushing hard out of the saddle

Really what?

You. Pushing hard out of the saddle on this bike. I'm trying to imagine it. I really am.

Tough wank, but you'll manage. Keep trying.

Seem to be drifting a bit off topic here

That's unusual for this place

Bit of an outside chance for this thread to wander past a tough wank, I'd've thought

The LUFGUS thread derailer is always watching, waiting to pounce.

I wonder if someone here can possibly assist me. I have a Columbus Minimal fork with 1 inch steerer, a frame with a 1 inch steerer tube, a modern Deda stem and an ahead adaptor. I am looking for a black headset, is the Cane Creek Forty 40.EC30 the correct choice? And also will this entire system actually work? Thank you

• #5245
Ahead adapter you said? Someone in the anti thread might know.

Prevon - thank you. Glad you pointed that out as I actually had an ahead adaptor for a threaded fork I originally intended to use before I got the Columbus Minimal - which is a much different piece of kit! Ok so a shim like you posted and the Cane Creek headset and I am good to go. Thanks again. I wish they had had headsets as a subject at school.

@user147336
Speaking of anti, that Cane Creek number looks a bit fugly to put next to a Minimal. Wouldn't you prefer something like this?http://bikeblvd.com.au/products/alloy-threadless-headset-black-1-sealed-bearings-frombpw3025
By the way, don't go hammering a star nut into that carbon steerer, you need to find a 1" expander plug.
