  • I'm told some women find nasal hair alluring, in a sexual way.
    I've yet to meet one.

  • Yeah, removing most of them is odd.

Trimming the ones that visibly hang down is easily done with a trimmer or, more often, nail scissors.

  • Or a lifetime of picking bogies out of your schnozzer

Did you know the release of Tainted Love by Soft Cell was closer to WW2 than to today?

  • Do not pull out nasal hair with needle nose pliers....

  • I started going to gigs in 1982, I was 14. At the time it felt like punk had happened a million years before.

My first proper guitar was ten years old when I bought it, a 1975 Fender Telecaster Deluxe, at the time it felt like I owned an ancient artefact imbued with magical musical powers.

    Time, eh? #csb #timeforbedgrandad

  • My barber implied people often do it to improve snorting coke.

I feel that there must be a tipping point where the giant beefy hairs are doing too much.

The only thing I've noticed is that he didn't get the frontal crevice but bit. Kinda feels like waxing the sack and forgetting the crack.

  • Every time I need to remember how old I am, I have to work backwards from my DOB. I can see why people just guess.

  • Do not pull out nasal hair with needle nose pliers....

Do Park Tool do something more specific?

    NHP-1 ?

  • Do you not go forward from your date of birth?

  • I'm good at mental arithmetic but still stall when someone asks my age.

One simple way is to work out years before/after 2000.

If you were born in, say, 1973 then that is 27 years to 2000.

Then simply add on the tens/digits from the current year, e.g. 2024 to get 51.

If you've had your birthday this year then you're done = 51
If you haven't had your birthday this year then take away 1 to get 50.

  • I learnt to know how old I was before I started school, and it's not something I've ever forgotten.

  • I saw a guy at meeting whose whole nostrils were full of hair, all trimmed to the same length a couple of MMs outside his nose, like a paintbrush had been jammed up there.
He must have done it on purpose.

  • I have now reverted to the primary school way of saying your age …..”I’m 55 next month “”I’m almost 55) etc
    Next stage is saying I’m 55 and a 1/2.
This must be because I haven’t got long left.

  • Got to be honest, in my mid to late 20s I forgot how old I was. I think it's because it was of such absolute central importance when you're young and then once you hit 24yo it stops being that relevant.

  • Yeah but then you joined Iggy and the Stooges and went back in time right?

  • While reading this thread, I'm listening to life's a gas by T Rex.

  • I prefer The Psychedelic Stooges.

A song from closer to WW1 than today

  • Makes me wanna listen to Cosmic Dancer, I was OBSESSED with Marc as a youth.

  • My bones have started creaking when I exercise. Really not happy about it.

  • Bones or joints?

  • mainly joints... but the rest of me isn't happy.

  • Trolley bags and the boot of a Skoda Octavia are more satisfying than I care to admit beyond the walls of this here forum.
