Buy yourself a 3d printer, make all the hex adapters and rc bits you might need.
I recently printed some for my fcx24. Gained myself about 4mm more width overall

Well. U need to make sure the material is hard enough. Most 3D printers are not structural.

3D prints are very strong in compression, particularly with simple parts like this.

I've found that a mini pipecutter tool works best.

Just a scalpel then some sandpaper glued to a bit of 5mm plywood to mimic the uncut tops. I paint them with some gloss black on the top too.
