I'm glad to see someone else received the email from TfL
I wonder how many responses TfL will receive from the cycling wasteland of LBHillingdon?

Who knows not sure they do but then that is the point of the survey. As with all IT type stuff from TfL there are some glieeks but when you are signed up it is pretty straight forward

I got this email and it felt like a crap phishing attempt, so if it's genuine I imagine that's going to harm their response rate.

I didn't want to link to my Strava so my 90% completed survey will go to waste

I had meetings with Strava when I was at TfL about accessing their data for planning. I think there was a free trial but they eventually wanted quite a bit of money.

Had this email from the Cycle Survey today
Dear Mr Thompson,
If you are one of over 3,000 people already registered to participate in the TfL Cycle Survey, then thank you for your contribution so far.
Due to the popularity of the survey, we have been experiencing some technical issues with the website. These issues have now been resolved, so please continue to contribute as much as you can.
As a reminder to those who may still be interested in taking part, AECOM are carrying out an important cycling survey on our behalf. By taking part, you can help provide an accurate picture of cycling in London to enable TfL to understand cyclists' travel behaviour and prioritise improvements and changes to infrastructure.
Whether you cycle a lot, a little or rarely, your views are important to us.
If you have not yet done so, you can take part in the survey here. You must be 16 or over to participate. Registration is open until Friday 19 July.
Participation in the survey will include:
• Registration and providing some basic details about yourself
• Cycling in the Greater London area at least once during the survey period (ending Sunday 21 July)
• Tracking journeys you make by bike using an app over the survey period (you will be able to opt out at any point)
• Allowing us to collect your activity data on the app
• Answering short follow up questions about the journey you made
You can also view the privacy notice for this survey.Yours sincerely,
Customer Information Team

I’m not sure that Strava is the magic tool to see how people cycle in London that TfL think it is. As someone that cycles a great deal in London, I never use it for local trips, for obvious reasons. I use strava for ‘proper’ out of London rides.
For all you Stravaheads on this forum Transport for London is inviting cyclists to take part in a survey to help provide an accurate picture of cycling in London to enable them to understand cyclists’ travel behaviour and prioritise improvements and changes to infrastructure.
It is running from 24th June to 21st July
