The only weird thing with these is that they’re not 93 73 degrees, so they point down just enough to fuck with the parallel line from the top tube

I think this is quite ugly with these 4 large bolts sticking out

It’s a 1” threadless steerer & stem is shimmed. As far as I know it was a custom order of Audax frame with the canti studs added, 631 tubing

Never liked the 1A, although I had one. Never have a Cinelli stem without the Cinelli logo on it. So much TDF.

I think the velo orange one is the nicest looking but it's 90°

I had one of those with a 26,0mm clamp. Worst quality welds I'd ever seen and for some reason the vertical tube bent after some use

Yea it's 8 years ago so maybe I was just unlucky or maybe their QC improved

Just finished this. I wanted a rando bike a la Rene Herse/Weigle but I'm skint. Found this '86 Raleigh Royal frame for very little money and built it up using my admittedly respectable parts bin. Eventually I'll add more bling in the way of Honjo fenders and posh racks but it's pretty convincing for now. I even have some Carradice bags for full grandad mode.

Thats pretty bling for a dad bike! The bars are the same ones you enquired about that were on my orange Bob Jackson. In fact most of this build came off that bike. I did 200 miles in the Shropshire hills and realised it's just not the bike for touring hence building this.

What’s the 26” tyre of choice these days? Capable on light gravel but mostly for going to the bakery.

Panaracer Pasela 26 x 1.75 for me.

Although I’d be tempted to try these for that price.

Got Ribmos in 37mm and really like em. Very hard wearing and sturdy but the ride is totally fine.
