Did that person also remove all the safety guards from all the plant?

You know them as well?

This counts as 'men's fashion' in a country which thinks fashion is for women and gays. If you tell them that thinking about Oakleys makes them fashion-conscious they'll get uncomfortable. If I met the guy above I'd say 'are you a fruit?'

He's got the proper resting bitchface for a fashion model, too.
Here's Jeff, showing off his Yankee Doodle Jawbones by Oakley, clashing nicely with his Stolen Valour ensemble by the disposals joint on the corner...

The odd thing about American men's fashion is that when they want to stand out they do it in a jokey childlike way. The wacky Oakleys, the comedy facial hair, the hilarious t shirt. The message is 'I'm different and interesting'. But they won't convey this with a patterned shirt with buttons. That's for effeminate men and Europeans. I took a proper shirt as my only street shirt on tours in the US. Even in a swish bar in San Francisco I stood out as obviously European. A frenchman was relieved when I walked in.

If you look at the kind of laughably obvious facade of toxic masculinity prevalent in some places in the world, as mocked in Borat for instance, that sort of shadow play spectacular of a shared insecurity over feeling able to embody one's very gender isn't a huge leap away from what we see from the US...
A pathetic lack of metacognition required

If I'd had to guess a thread without knowing whether it existed, I'd have gone "Innuendos which write themselves". For any children watching who don't know who it is, it's Sid James at Pinewood Studios

Remarkably prescient of old Sid, to anticipate how stylish he'd look fifty years later with the Chopper / no socks combo... Pipes never made a comeback though

Saw this on Reddit. Some interesting things in the photos - an Olympic torch, a bunch of framed cycling jerseys - any idea who it might belong to?

Definitely someone with impeccable taste!

I just picked up a piece of plant from a service. The fuel filter was almost blocked with tons of crap. So I bought a funnel with a built in filter to try to help. This morning a went to fuel up and the filter had been removed from the funnel. I asked the only other person that would use it what had happened and I quote “it was taking ages to go through that bit so I pulled it out” FFS! I still have no idea where they are finding this dirt in the fuel though?
