  • The directories of shops listed in the early parts of this thread are long gone stale.

Can anyone recommend a good current, up to date list of independent bike shops in London?

Or has Google maps search results just killed off the need for it?

  • Can't find any reference to them before, but a glowing review for Elswood Cycleworks in Putney.
Brilliant little workshop, really reasonable prices, and a great stock of parts. Sorted out my Campag freehub woes with ease.

  • Not really a new bike shop, but popped into Decathlon today and their new pro team section looks very hip and stylish - definitely like something from sigma sports but for the east end - there is even a place for a bike fit..

  • Their new Van Rysel bikes look really nice and I imagine excellent value for money. The aero dudes at Swissside helped make some of the new kit.

East-End... Was this the Chingford or Rotherhithe branch? I guess both are kind've East-End, innit?

  • Canada Water.

  • Anyone have experience of Cyclonic on the Finchley Road?

  • Anyone been to Bespoke Cycling on Rosebury Ave? Under new ownership. They used to have branches on Gresham St, Jermyn St. and at Canary Wharf. The company went into administration in 2022. The employees bought it. The previous owner/founder was sharp-elbowed and slippery. I wonder who he stiffed when he exited? The company had 15 directors. He has since started this https://gogeta.bike/

The insolvency documents are on the Companies House site, listed under CADENCE (EUROPE) LIMITED

  • The London Bicycle Repair Shop on Hatfields just off The Cut did me a solid by interrupting a job to fix my disintegrating chain the other morning while I waited, and just for a couple of quid. Seem like good guys, would go back.

  • Best shop going! Love those guys

  • Shoutout to cyclefix in Oval / Kennington. Nice guys, great experience every time Iā€™ve ever been in (including new tires this evening). šŸ™

  • Is this still going?

  • Yup!

    Tuesday to Friday 12 - 8 pm
    Saturday 12 - 5 pm.

  • Nice one thanks

  • Are there any bike shops left in the west end?

  • Rapha .. not sure if they got any tools or parts in there. But you'll get a decent coffee.

  • It's that or the Pinarello Store!

  • Any real ones?

  • In the West End itself? Nothing I can see in Marylebone, Mayfair, Soho or Bloomsbury between Euston Road to the north and the river.

Condor Cycles, Bikefix and London Bicyle Workshop are closest to the east, Balfes at Waterloo to the south I think
