Off to Bruges for the weekend
If you're only in the city itself then contactless Visa/MasterCard is fine.
If you're venturing even a few miles out, make sure you have cash as outside of the main cities no one takes visa/MasterCard, it's all Bancontact only. Even in relatively large towns. (A few merchants seemed a bit disgruntled by this, but something to do with fees etc).
If you're unsure, take cash.

Is cash required or is the whole world contactless these days?
Feels like a silly question, but I don't want to be caught out with only a few euros in my pocket and needing hundreds.
