I’m not sure that I can upload a video showing the issue I’m trying to fix.

I have some old Deore XT levers that have a lot of play in them, up and down.
How can they be tightened up?

You could undo the lever via the tiny bolt marked green.

I suspect that there were 2 bushings which have cracked/perished hence the play.

Use the left hand lever as a reference?
