The failure mode to worry about is getting it out of your bag and discovering it's flat despite you having charged it, either because it switched itself on in your bag, or because the battery has degraded in the months since you last tried it*, or because fuck knows why.
If it is flat you can't just quickly charge it from your power bank because the pump uses far more watts than a power bank can put in.
(* this is what happened to the one I had. It went in the bin)

Any recommendations for carbon fork for 40mm/700c and 47/650b tyres? I currently have Carbonda 505 fork, but I would prefer something with slightly less clearances for the aesthetics.

I have the Cycplus AS2 Pro which you can charge from a phone using a USB-C to USB-C cable. With a decent size phone battery I think that would get me a few goes without too much impact on the phone

If positive could you share a link to the product you bought?

People who carry CO2 canisters and not a pump is probably the best comparison.
True. That's fucking dumb too, speaking from personal experience. If you want to pump up a tyre full of air, the best tool for the job is a pump. The clue is in the name.

The only reason I carry CO2 are those occasions when I don't want to pump. Either because of time or hassle. Inflate yes, pump no. So, a CO2 inflator has done me well in those times. However, most of the time I'm more than happy to rely on my arms to pump, and I find them quite reliable without needing a backup power source.

just use some carbon brake pads and you should be fine. I heard the corima ones have the least abrasive effect on the brake tracks

For how long and for what kind of riding? I don't think they'll work great if you actually want to stop but it's hard to see what the surface of the rim looks like from that photo.

I wanted satellite shifters for my sram axs, but couldn’t justify the price. I was planning to make my on own, but remembered how much I hate soldering. Searched Ali and ordered these https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ew0fQUP
Only used them couple rides, but so far happy with them. I haven’t tested them in the rain yet. The buttons are tiny compared to Sram ones. I might 3d print some caps to put on them to make them slightly bigger.

Good find. I made my own a couple of years ago but it was a faff trying to get the right plug on the end and was very fiddly but they do work for approx £2 each. I now also have 200 push buttons spare should I ever need them.

I have thought about these but Ali says it can't ship to the UK, is this me...where are you based?

Anyone bought disc brake pads on AliX that they are happy with?
-
• #11725
yes, almost exclusively, on all bikes
Simply carry a spare tyre, already inflated and installed on a spare wheel.
