Is there an England line up for tonight yet ?
The FA are waiting for the armchair managers to reach a consensus.

Going with dropping TAA, Bellingham alongside Rice, Foden playing 10, and then was going for Eze on the left but I noticed Rooney suggested Gordon so might try that. Depending on how the game pans out we may employ Watkins and A-A off the bench as per N3il’s suggestion. Just going to get these Tyskie in the fridge, make a couple of changes to my fantasy football team and then will text Gareth.

I think we're all pretty agreed with the drop TAA, play an actual winger and shift Foden inside.

Excellent.

Be good to get Cole Palmer som minutes if the win is in the bag. 👍

Rich, you’re on the team!
-
• #169983
Would love to have an actual LB that can get forward, but there isn't one in the squad who is fit.
-
• #169984
Saka would be my armchair suggestion.
-
• #169985
Line-ups not normally released until an hour before kick-off i think.

Yeah it’s a shame Shaw is injured/unfit. He was a real asset in the last euros.
-
• #169987
He's been in full training this week.
-
• #169988
Who'll be the first armchair manager to propose starting with him, with a view to being replaced after 60 minutes?
-
• #169989
I thought he only returned to full training yesterday?
Edit: i guess that is "this week"!!

Or maybe as was mentioned on guardian football pod walker left back trent right back

The 5 o’clock kick offs are very interesting.
Three teams with a chance to win the group. Needing to rest players but also needing a convincing win… I predict 2 0-0 draws.

FFS Malen. Shocking play.
-
• #169994
I forgot to account the incredibly prolific striker “own goal” into my 0-0 prediction.

I'm going to throw a curveball - put Konsa in at left back. Not his position, but he did OK shifted there in the warm up. Cant be worse than Trippier.
-
• #169996
Problem is the same, there's no left footer or natural width on the left, that's why I suggested Saka at left-back.
-
• #169997
You could get away with Trippier at left back (almost) if whoever played left wing, stayed on the wing. It would at least stretch the oppo defence. in the Serbia and Denmark games the oppo knew that they could just rank their numbers in the middle and their left.

This is true. Obviously selecting a fit left back would have been the optimal move. Saka can't defend. Have a defender there and a left sided attacker ahead, say Grealish or Rashford.

Dan Burn would be good.

Further to the holes-in-socks chat, what's up with M'bappe's? They go right up under his shorts.
That's brilliant.
