I've been going round on this issue and still haven't got round to it for reasons.
IKEA seem OK if it's for a very small area, otherwise cost of proprietary accessories make it expensive and not scalable.
Classic hardboard ones are cheap and likely to be fine in a dry area.
Sealey do metal ones that are gvfm, and on balance if you're going to the hassle of doing it, then you may as well do it once. When you add it all up the extra for metal didn't seem unreasonable.

I had a newly renovated, yellow, Pashley post bike with a whicker basket. I wanted to use it to bomb about the site at the 2012 Olympic rowing events at Dorney. I wasn't allowed to use it in case I was filmed because BMW had provided all the bicycles to be used on site.

To give credit to that BC rider, my understanding/hearing through the grapevine is that the contract allowed individual riders to obscure the shell logo if they wanted to.

Inbred, yes? 29.8mm (or 30.0mm should do too).
-
• #122484
My clamp has 29.8 writ on it.
X post with Bearlegged. -
• #122485
That is an inbred, I think, would that make a difference?
-
• #122486
Seatpost is 27.2 if i am not mistaken
-
• #122487
Correct.
-
• #122488
So clamp is 29.8?

Anyone with experience of/recommendations for having something vinyl-wrapped in East London?
Sadly not murking-out a merc, but looking to tone down a massive heat pump in my garden.

I'll start here: I want to experiment a bit more with handlebars as my cheap go to North Road /3 speed /comeback type preference was established well before manufacturers took notice and started making decent ones for the upright rider.
So, any favourites? I don't want more than 700mm and the clamp size needs to be old school friendly, 25.4mm (I realize the small diameter severely limits my choices, but that simplifies them).

Nitto make a few: North Road, Dove, Albatross. Soma make a couple of different shapes that might work too. Try Rivendell or Hubjub.
-
• #122492
Correct again.
-
• #122493
want to experiment
Then you need Raleigh North Road handlebars.
Nice shape that are cheap so you can see if you like the position. Only downside is weight.
Look at the Nitto and Riv options once you've decided they're for you.

Ergotec have a million shapes for cheap.

Off to Bruges for the weekend, not been on a city break since the before times.
Is cash required or is the whole world contactless these days?Feels like a silly question, but I don't want to be caught out with only a few euros in my pocket and needing hundreds.
-
• #122496
pretty much entirely contactless
-
• #122497
i want a full single list of betting odds for euro 24 winners that i can scrape easily using power query.

I've got a pair of Sim Works Getaround bars if you want them for cheap?
The CrMo 'dullbright' ones here:
https://www.sim.works/products/getaround-bar?variant=16530945731They're 700, 25.4mm and quite nice, but they couldn't fit horizontally through my narrow front door so they've never been fitted

How do I know for sure if a seat tube in er diameter is off spec? I have a metal Planet X frame and a 27.2 seatpost falls all the way down into the tube. When I tighten the seat collar it still seems to loosen as I ride and I’m not a large rider.
Ah, yes it is! Here's what my sad crank arm looks like without it.
This looks like the thing I need, so I can always grab it from there, unless you want rid? I'm in SE10 so not too far.
