  • It's almost as if the Tory leaning press want them to lose. The betting scandal was beginning to die down a bit, so the Telegraph decides to lead today with a headline claiming the Metropolitan Police had leaked names to the press, thus keeping it at the top of the news cycle for another day.

  • The press editors are in chaos - there's as much disunity as in the Tory party itself. Chris Evans at the Telegraph seems to be leaning full Reform - or at least wants the current leadership of the Tories out? But Ted Verity at the Mail seems to have had second thoughts about that - he's been attacking Farage recently, I think? Victoria Newton at the Sun will come out for Labour in a minute (as rumoured for a while now). And it doesn't appear that Tony Gallagher knows what to do with the Times.
