I think there are a few over the next few weeks. I need to talk to my contact at the council tomorrow anyway so I'll try and get some more details for you! I'm fairly sure it's open to the public but I'll have to double check.
It's mostly targeted at parents at some of the schools in the borough, to line up with some new school streets and a push to get people out of their cars and using alternatives for local journeys. -
The timings didn't quite work out yesterday so I was only there for about half an hour so didn't have a chance to do much schmoozing. It was a fun event though, it was great to see a load of kids and their families get really excited about cargo bikes!
They're running a few more over summer, I'll post the dates here.
Gratuitous photo of an Urban Arrow next to a wild "walking bike" (treadmill on wheels).
Have you had a look at subsidies etc? I'm attending a "cargo bike showcase" in Hammersmith on Friday to promote take up of cargo bikes. The council are pushing a scheme by an organisation called MP Smarter travel that offer up to £2k off the purchase of a cargo bike. Might be worth looking in to if you haven't already, whichever bike you decide to go for.
Also, it looks like Paradise Cycles have the Bullitt X in stock for £3,099.
