  • i hardly ever use it

I own two beautiful handmade Japanese knives that don't get used either. My OH isn't very careful with stuff so I keep them tucked away because she will wreck them. I came home one day to find one of them on the counter next to a cut lemon, I almost had a stroke. I know I'm a fussy cunt but she takes the piss. 🤣

I probably need a special knife block with a lock on it. I have three IKEA knives that I use for everyday stuff, a paring knife (which OH bent the tip on opening a jar), chef's knife and cleaver. OH will pull any old knife from the block, filleting knife, bread knife or even a palette knife to cut a piece of fruit. I've learnt to accept it. She's destroyed at least three of my dad's old Sabatiers.

    CBD oil is great.🤪

    oof.

Fortunately my OH's favourite knife is a £10 Kitchen Devil vegetable knife. So long as that's within reach, most other things are fairly safe.

  • oof.

Yeah, that was not the first knife that went in the bin for that reason. 🤦🏼‍♂️

It has taught me patience. But like I say, I am a very fussy bastard about all this stuff. Opposite ends of the spectrum!
