  • I've always thought one of the big diffrences between Labour and the tories is how they treat their leaders. Labour simply dosen't plot and remove in that sort of a way.

    Corbyn had to loose twice before being ousted. Miliband did 5 years and an election defeat. Brown got his election, Blair had over 10 years as PM. John Smith died. Neil Kinnock lost two as well. Foot lost to a landslide, Wilson retired.

    There isn't a history, other than Blair for Labour leaders to be changed mid term. Wishful thinking on the part of the right.

  • Blair stood down at a time of his choosing as well, although I think there was pressure from Brown to hand over the reigns.
