It’s actually a BT Wifi Disc. Could I use that as an access point? I plugged it in and tried to connect to it like a router and couldn’t see it on my Mac.

Noted. They do, however, sell LH threaded nuts, bolts, taps & dies.

Different sponsorship rules for the Olympics I believe.
Those planet burning fuckers at Shell haven’t paid enough to the IOC to allow their logo to be shown.

• #122459
damn. Was hoping I'd missed the press release saying the sponsorship was off

Any tips on non-landfill disposal of dead parts? (Inc old chromed wheels, cracked steel frame, metal trap pedals, alu caliper brakes)
Is there mixed metal recycling at the dump and can they go there?
(South london based)
Cheers

Which borough? e.g. you need to have proof of address to use Lambeth waste/recycling services.

Southwark. Thanks

mixed metal recycling at the dump
My local likes you to separate ferrous from non-ferrous
-
• #122465
The recycling centre off OKR will take all metals.

The Neapolitan idea of Caffè Sospeso, does it exist successfully anywhere in the UK? The concept is great, but I fear it would be riddled with awkwardness and indecision over etiquette.

Caffè Sospeso
There's ample chat about it in translation, Google "suspended coffee"

The dust cap on my SRAM Rival GXP cranks has fallen off somehow, anybody got one spare somewhere that I could buy/trade for beer?
Like the one pictured on the non-drive side crank arm in this photo:

Dull buildings insurance question: my current insurer sent me a letter saying that they could no longer offer my policy so I'm shopping for a new one.
I co own the house. I have a mortgage on my share. The co owner can get better rates than me (older, retired etc).
Will my mortgage lender not like it if the building's insurance is under their name not mine? i'm assuming yes.

I thought buildings (bricks and mortar) insurance was mainly to do with the building and not the occupants ?

What’s the forum approved set up for a tool board in a garage/home workshop? A pegboard? A shadow board?
I’m seeing that Ikea has a seemingly decent pegboard with several types of clips and accessories, but their board has slots instead of round holes, so presumably the accessories won’t work on a normal pegboard?

forum approved set up for a tool board
This kind of thing gets discussed in the Tool Porn thread

What kind of steel will leaf springs be made of?
I need a very light spring but want to avoid the expense and waste of buying a salvaged multiple leaf type to take one leaf out of it.

Spring steel.
