There is something about the brick and grass I love about these places, there is one in tilbury which is great, weridly liminal.

It is in fact Tilbury! Really enjoyed wandering around it, strangely peaceful. There's another fort further along the Thames which is next on the list.

The other one (Coalhouse Fort) has more concrete stuff that might be up your street. Also, the old Bata shoe factory down the road is incredible.
