They are telling us:
- we have no money left
- the only people we think we can attract are the lowest common denominator Reform scumbags
- we have no money left

That is appalling!

The most honest thing about this ad is that nobody was willing to reveal a face in it.... No actors, no politicians.

They've all got policies, whether they're woolly, unfunded or just shit. But that's the point, if they are shit, the media should be pointing it out.

Vote Labour to go swimming in Brighton without worrying about stepping on pebbles. -

This feels like a special time, a very special time indeed.
I shall enjoy every moment, squeeze hard to harvest all the joy! After ALL THE HURT! All the failures, now are the day to be alive!
These wonderful days, sadly won't last. I feel like there should be some way to mark these tumultuous, so we remember this wonderful high. -

As well as being absolutely vile that red carpet video is terrible politics.
Reading through the X replies, it appears to have managed to annoy people who are anti-migrant as well as those who are sympathetic to the plight of refugees.
The former are pointing out that the Tories have basically been the party of the red carpet for the past decade, with their hotel accomodation, failure to stop the boats and the Rwanda débacle.
The latter are (rightly) horrified by the despicable video.
Nice one Tories, you really are very bad at this game. And are a flock of worst-cunts to boot.

You feel the same after agreeing with Edwina as you do after you laugh at an Adam Sandler film.

I'm not sure Uncut Gems is supposed to be a comedy though.

I'd love to know what my rabidly Tory old neighbour makes of all this. That would mean I'd have to talk to her though and I really don't want to do that.

I live on a small cul-de-sac, and for a change am looking forward to the road management meeting next month with the 4 other retired homeowners, one of whom is a retired Tory councillor.
I shall be grinning from ear to ear.

I also live on a quiet cul-de-sac. One of my neighbours is the current Tory mayor of the borough (hello gold club bar thread). He's actually a pretty decent guy on a day to day basis, although he did blank me when I went to vote in the May local elections and he was standing outside the polling station. Looks like our constituency will stay blue at the moment, but I'm loving the bigger picture.

This particular neighbour once invited the other owners (4 maisonettes) to an election night dinner (possibly the last but one) and blithely assumed we were all also tories by virtue of the fact we live in a tory borough. I mean, I work in fin services regulatory advice so I get it for me but the lesbian couple who are both ex-social workers... seems like a leap. In any case, she has always been alarmingly out of touch and seemed to embrace a casual nastiness, not to mention treating the rest of us like employees when anything needed doing around the place. We generally tolerate her but she's stepped over the line with my wife (who has zero tolerance for b*llsh*t) a few times and been told her fortune, as my Dad would say.

Also, she's terrible, so I guess it makes some kind of weird sense?
