I really like that. Is that astroturf in the bottom?

We're also finalising plans for our bathroom, we've gone for a sort of coral/terracotta tile + white tiles for the walls and are wondering what best to pair with for the floor. Not sure if off-white/grey floor tiles will look odd against the also slightly off-white wall tiles. The coral tiles are going to be used either on one wall with the bath or inside the shower.
Feel like size of the floor tiles will also be important, either smaller or larger than whats on the wall. White hexagon tiles are an option we've considered but unsure.

I like the terracotta ones though them not being level on the plane of the wall is triggering my OCD.
I like this combo:

Yeah we're considering terrazzo with orange flecks but battling with the fact I don't like how fake terrazzo looks up close.
I liked marmoleum but partner vetoed
I think it's just bad photos or tiling as the tiles themselves are fairly normal and flat.

Maybe it's a function of the grout matching? It might be too mono colour and shows all imperfections.

“I don't like how fake terrazzo looks up close.”
Yes they look shit.
Whole cut fake terrazzo looks far better and is truly random.
We have them in bathroom as does @Tenderloin -

Guys in another 2yrs people are gonna be ripping these supermarket floors from residential properties. Forget the terrazzo and get something less 2021.
For bathroom tiled floors I almost thing you're better off deciding on the grouting (as that's what gets dirty and stained) and then basing the tile choice off that.

“Forget the terrazzo and get something less 2021.”
Just echoing the real 1960 terrazzo windowsills and communal area flooring.
Might get some reeded panelling for the hallway that matches the original stuff fitted outside the front door… -

Whole cut means the coloured chips are in the tile not printed on top, cut the tile and you can see the colours go all the way through the tile.
They are not true terrazzo as the tile is made from one material (can’t remember if it’s porcelain or ceramic) not different chips in a base material. -

I would love a place with reeded panelling dividers.
When I was delivering around St Albans there were a few post war places that had really tastefully retained their original features. One brilliant one had a lovely wide entrance area for coats etc, that had reeded dividers before the hall. It worked so well in terms of light but dividing up the areas.
As nice as the whole straight-through-the house-view thing is I really like that delineation between spaces.

Real terrazzo is a pain to work with and you have to do a different floor build up in my limited experience, would not use it again.

though we did not pay that for them, just did a reverse image search and they came from a warehouse in croydon.
they do a skirting tile which we would have gone for but ended up with all walls tiled so no need. there were also step/windowsill nosing in the factory catalogue but nobody got back to me with a price on that and we just use the factory cut edge on windowsill.

Thanks - yes it is sorta fake grass - b&q sells small rolls like 1m2 - not sure why - we had one kicking around for years so I cut it up.

It’s also golf club prices, same with the tiles and a long wait time for them to be made plus more maintenance.
Couldn’t see the point in blowing the budget.Managed to find a quartz worktop from the SE go-to supplier in Beckenham for the windowsills in rest of the flat that looked like terrazzo, even fooled the architect a few floors down who asked if it was from Diespeker the posh marble/terrazzo place (no prices on website because if you have to ask)

Has anyone used Steico joists. Any thoughts on ease of use and costs?

Sawdust.

ah so am I understanding this correctly, it's just one company that makes this type of fake terrazzo tile?
Where did you get them in croydon?

What's good in terms of under-cabinet lighting?

Oohh, name your supplier, please. (We'll need a new worktop in the autumn).
Love it! Think the OSB suits it better than birch ply would have.
Which light is that?
