Chatting to my Dad at the weekend and he's decided it's new (not literally new) car time. They currently have a 3rd gen Leon ST.
Slightly smaller - presumably regular hatchback rather than estate.

Despite the size thing, he likes the latest Civic HEV (as do I) although they're a bit above his budget. Got the impression he might be prepared to stretch it if there's no obvious alternative. My mum doesn't like SUVs, which makes me proud.
Any suggestions what he should be considering or - more importantly - avoiding?
