Every city with them just feels so much cooler. Wish London would get more. I’d happily dig up New Cross Road and Old Kent Road all the way to put a quality tram line all the way down.

Love that too.

We nearly had a tram again in Bristol, but instead we got a shitty metro bus service that didn’t work

all public transport is pretty much love.
some of my favourites:
97 bus
Victoria line
East Coast Mainline
West Coast Mainline
Lizzy Line
Chingford branch
East Suffolk Line
High Speed One (debatable if this qualifies as public transport but it's pretty cool) -

Riding a fixed gear bike through an urban environment on a sunny summer's evening. Just joyous.

It really is, isn't it?
Good on you!

Been on the summer bike for the last couple of weeks! The fun I’m having blasting (relatively) around town makes me wonder why I didn’t break it out of storage for the last couple of years.
Takes years off me.. -

Let's go fixed wheel bike tagging together soon!
-
• #3586
I’m about but I’m well fucking out of sync with the bike tagging!

urban environment
Bloody hipsters. Real fixielords ride in rural environments, just ask @youramericanlover. I rode my cool fixie to Brighton the other week. Cuffs Hill, Deak's Lane, Clayton Hill. I may not have ridden up all of those. A bit of a silly route because I've done most of the others, but fun.

What are fixed contraption of which you speak? This is a place for home renovations and meme derailments, that is all!

Last on this here. Tightened my chain yesterday to take the track slack out of it. Now I feels too tight. Fixed gear problems!

Time for a sub-forum for people who ride this “fixed-gear”?
-
• #3593
Nah, too niche and it'll never catch on.

My converted Bob Jackson still sits behind me in my office. Tyres long since deflated. I occasionally hoover the dust off it.

Dibs frameset if split

Dibs hoover.

I cast an occasional guilty look at my similarly dusty and deflated Donohue.
I have these crazy, romantic notions of taking it down and riding it - ridiculous, I know!

My Roberts is in bits and in storage, some parts have been cannibalised and are on other bikes. My back won't let me ride fixed anymore, the temptation to do whip skids is too strong and I just wind up in traction for a fortnight. I should sell it. 😟

I keep finding excuses to run errands on mine. I’m going to nip out at lunchtime today to go and talk to someone who I could probably phone, but I fancy the ride.

I should sell it
I'm in the unusual situation of not being allowed to sell my Donohue as wife has expressly forbidden it. So there it sits.
How do you feel about the DLR?
