  • The problem with the "hold your nose and vote labour to get the tories out" argument is that the labour party itself doesn't believe that, otherwise it would withdraw candidates from constituencies in which another party could unseat a Tory. Instead, they're running in places like Islington North and Brighton Pavilion and splitting the non-tory vote.

  • The trouble with that is that the media and the Tories would run heavily with electoral conspiracy and labour are so weak they are not even standing in these seats stories.

    In particular, could you imagine how much hay they could make if Labour withdrew to give Corbbyn a clear run (who, incidentally, is still using the same line that got him expelled from the Labour party in recent interviews).

  • But wouldn't they have to change their constitution to do that. Would the members go for it?
