Nope, the vertical axis is mostly freedom in social terms (not economic). From Wiki:
Authoritarianism is a political system characterized by the rejection of political plurality, the use of strong central power to preserve the political status quo, and reductions in democracy, separation of powers, and the rule of law.
The claim that Labour's 2024 manifesto represents a 4.5/10 on the authoritarian scale is dubious to be honest (Labour's dot on the map is a little too high and to the right in my opinion, but most certainly in the right quadrant).
(And like @Soul said above, the questions are mostly without real constraints, so it's easy to select nice ideas).
Isn't authoritarian basically the state control and pays for everything setup?
