do I need to measure everything myself and work it out on a sheet of paper?
Either a sheet of paper or your CAD screen.

Mine is attached to the north facing wall of my shed, up in the eaves.

Guys, I was just wondering if a wheelset upgrade is in order, I would go rim 10speed
https://scribecycling.com/en-ch/products/race-alloy-wheelset
Can we get better than scribe for the price???
I have a cosmic 1st gen alu wheelset and I feel a pulsing on the front rim when hard braking.... Haven't looked into it so much for lack of time, but I guess the rim is worn....brake pads are ok still
Would it be better to do a wheel rebuild with the cosmics?
Thx -

Are there any plasters or similar medical tapes that will stick to sweaty feet? Everything I've tried is pretty mediocre, especially when socks and shoes enter the equation...

• #122406
Might be a good idea to ask in the running thread?
-
• #122407
Nope. If you have tender bits, let them heal, then dab surgical spirit on to make the skin hard.
I'm coming back to running (12 years or so, so I had nice hard pads) after an eternity off and my skin is all soft again

@doubleodavey advice is spot on, but Compeed will stick to sweaty feet.
Got me through many early season matches.

I've used duck tape in the past where boots have been rubbing. Not strictly medical tape though

It's for a verruca so not related to sore feet, just need something to keep it covered
-
• #122411
Duct tape is a thing for verrucas:

My verruca responded very well to being starved of attention. I used gaffer tape/duct tape on mine and a stubborn wart and it worked on both.
I am not a doctor but I'll take a bloody good look at it for you. -
• #122413
Works a treat, cut a disc, stick it on, wait for it to fall off, replace until the verruca/wart has gone.
Works amazingly on Greyhound’s corns. -

medical tapes that will stick to sweaty feet?
I use Molnlycke Mefix as my general fixation solution, stands up well to getting wet as long as the skin was dry when you put it on.

In a Stevenson screen twice as far away from anything as that thing is high.
Baby kit for not too much https://www.metcheck.co.uk/collections/instrument-screens/products/climemet-cm6064-instrument-screen-kit

Thanks all, I always assumed duct tape wouldn't adhere well on feet for some reason.

Are they still open?

Velo orange do one I think - fresh tripe. And soma - On that slightly odd southern distribution site. Last time I checked anyway

I use geometrygeeks for comparisons, the data varies depending on what the manufacturer published at the time, but usually you can get all the headline numbers

Yeah saw that, but njs track goodness does not seem to be its forte..

What’s the best place in SE London for my partner to try out a load of saddles?
She’s just gotten into cycling and isn’t enamoured with the B17 that’s on her bike at the moment
-
• #122422
You could try cadence down in Crystal Palace. If you’ve got the time, head into condor on grays inn road as they gave a range of saddles in stock, but they also have the kit to work out how wide your missus’ sit bones are and from there you can figure out the width of saddle that will be best for her.
Specialized have a wide range of female specific saddles you can choose from once you’ve worked out sit bone width. -

Fynches is quite good - FoHi
Cadence - it's a bit limited as they're only Giant retailers but if you head to Palace then you can try
Blue Door too
Bromley Bikes
Sea Bass - PeckhamIf you go into town as per Corny, then there's a specialized shop i think?

tl;dr: if you had £3675 you had to spend on a new bike, what would you do?
Long version: I’ve had a bike vandalised and subsequently written off. Thankfully insured, and the insurer very reasonably wants to buy me a new bike (or frame and bits) to replace it. Brief is vaguely ‘all road’ and preference for metal over carbon. A cashout isn’t an option but a relevant gift voucher is.
Thought folks here may enjoy this non-problem - feeling both lucky and daunted.
