Duct tape is a thing for verrucas:

My verruca responded very well to being starved of attention. I used gaffer tape/duct tape on mine and a stubborn wart and it worked on both.
I am not a doctor but I'll take a bloody good look at it for you.

It's for a verruca so not related to sore feet, just need something to keep it covered
