Try leaving it to run while you do/watch something else then rewind. Think ad breaks only force-play once so you can skip them on the rewatch. Sure it used to work like that, anyway.

Iβve seen it 3 times I think- awesome doc

Great film.

Currently watching under Paris. Itβs terrible, absolute trash, but I canβt stop watching it.
-
• #20982
Fuuuck haven't seen it in 20 years and I cannot watch it here π
-
• #20983
Watched that last night and thought it relatively ok until the end, which was so stupid I'm still quite angry about it now.
-
• #20984
Watched Hackers on Friday night. It should be illegal to administer the 90s at such high concentrations.
-
• #20985
It's wild isn't it? Have you seen Demolition Man or Johnny Mnemonic? They might be the only films that can rival it for sheer 90s-ness (despite both being set in the future).
-
• #20986
Demolition man, yes. Johnny mnemonic, no. I should check that out.
-
• #20987
It's not a great film but is quite fun and very over the top.
-
• #20988
Anyone seen Toni Collette in Mafia Mamma?
-
• #20989
I think it might be my favourite film, the music and everything about it.

I was hooked from the start, but the first time Sick Boy rollerbladed his way into a shot I was in love. Can't believe it's taken me this long to watch it.
-
• #20991
Said it before and Iβll say it again. Best film of all time.
-
• #20992
The opening shot when heβs on the plane, looking out the window to New York and Orbital builds. Unreal

Beau is afraid is fucking nuts, loving it but very confused.
-
• #20994
Is it a William Gibson? How have I never seen this?
-
• #20995
Lol, it's absolute garbage.
-
• #20996
Ugh brilliant but completely insane. Never seen anything like it.
Speaking of, I just came out of fury road, tomorrow furiosa. Fuck me this was an adrenaline trip in the cinema. I was never drawn to the franchise but the positive comments here made me book it and I'm all but dissapointed. Didn't even know that tom hardy was in it, nice surprise to boot. Need to relax a bit before bed though. -
• #20997
Okay Furiosa the next day makes the weekend complete. Liked it, but seeing it the day after Fury Road was maybe a bit much as I saw them both for the first time and the first one was an absolute banger.

I rewatched Apocalypse Now last night. Such a banger although I've decided that The Conversation is my favourite Francis Ford Coppola film.
I accidentally went for the extended directors cut which I don't think adds much beyond half an hour to the run time. The scenes in the French plantation really take you out of the oppressive feel of the rest of the film and feel a bit like a tacked on history lesson for the most part. The theatrical cut is much more focused on the individual horrors of war, something that recent films like Zone Of Interest and Civil War also do really well.Hearts of Darkness tonight I reckon.

Hearts of Darkness, brilliant documentary. Glad I finally got round to it! It's free on Prime with a Studiocanal 7 day trial if you don't fancy sitting through a load of ads on All 4.
Thanks @marcomarcos for putting it back on my radar! -

Watched Poor Things. What a crock of mysogynistic shite. Think that's Lanthimos done for me. Getting worse and more self indulgent as he gets bigger. Same as Wes Anderson.
Brassed Off is such a great film. Channel 4 player taking the piss with the amount of adverts though. I assume it's their drive to make you pay for 4+ or whatever its called.
