Can somebody do a concise bullet point explainer list for those with useless arts degrees? I have 20 wikepedia tabs open but am still none the wiser. Thanks

I think a thread about gender dynamics on the forum would definitely benefit from more posts from women on the issue and the @user157628 should go off and create a space of your own to talk about TQ rights should you wish to do so.

Sex is real? As in people have sexy times?
Sex matters? As in sex it’s important or things around sex such as foreplay or lubrication?Honestly I have no clue as to what you mean by most of your posts.

women's subforum
shrugs
Transwomen are women. You are bigoted scum if you don't believe this, sorry.

Ok point noted that this forum is unwelcoming of transphobia and you think that drives women away. Moving on.

Yes straight.
I don’t fancy men, trans men or men in general, happy to have a drink/coffee/bike ride with other men including those who are not straight men. If an acquaintance decided they wanted to become/identify as someone who was no longer a straight male I would like to think they could rely on my support.
What goes on in our bedroom is our business, what goes on in other peoples bedrooms is theirs and nothing to do with me.Women are not allowed sex based boundaries anywhere? I’ll leave that to a Woman to answer as they are better qualified to expand on that statement.

I personally think more of the men here should go read Judith Butler, a good dose of Simone de Beauvoir too.
The woman, trans, and other people here who don't identify as masc / man owe no-one anything and certainly shouldn't feel that they should post in this thread.
This thread is awful... you got it wrong in the first post by confusing born sex / assigned sex with gender... and you seem to completely not understand what you're on about. But it's not on anyone to explain to you the error of your ways, go educate yourself.
This thread should die... so I'll close it now.

Don’t have the time to trawl through the thread but this from BB:"I do think it comes from a deep seated unconscious belief that women are lesser than men, and that men have the objective vision, and therefore the right, to define society and women's place within in it”
Which I feel is pointing the finger at all men on here when it’s obviously not the case. is it perfect (this forum)? No. Is it a hotbed of oppressive male angst towards women? I don’t think it is my opinion is not as valid as that from the women on here but not just the ones that shout the loudest.
Beyond that the whole theory/politics of gender and associated definitions is one of those subjects where having an opinion is going to deeply offend somebody, even within those definitions there are obviously plenty of schism’s that are not going to ever be resolved.
I don’t really have an definitive opinion apart from wishing those who want to transition to their ideal self get support and are accepted, beyond that is a minefield i’m not equipped to cross.
Very loosely speaking anyone who identifies outside of the gender binary. Including but not limited to trans-men, trans-women, non-binary, and agender people. Q specifically being a much wider inclusive term that is used often by people not wishing to use specific labels with respect to their identity (gender/sexual/romantic.)
Your turn - are these people valid in your eyes?
What is your basis for this?
