Nitto Pearl with 25.4 bars?

Just a quick question!

I’ve got a Nitto Pearl which have a 26mm clamp diameter and just chucked some 25.4mm bars on it and it seems to clamp fine. Is it safe to do so? Obviously Nitto sell a shim so I’m not sure if it’s unsafe to tighten them down to 25.4 or if it doesn’t provide enough clamping force.

If it’s necessary I’ll sort a beer can shim but if not I’ll just go with it!

On a side note if anyone has a spare bolt and triangular nut for a Pearl going spare I’m in need of one
