Different 16" standard I'm afraid. Brompton is fractional 16 x 1-3/8 (349mm) and kids 16" size is 305mm decimal...

You could put a Tru Blu tyre in the front and rear (40/349) or a Vee Tyre Goodie Goodie (ETRTO 37-349) which come up bigger.
