Accu has pretty expensive shipping even if you just order a handfull of screws. I usually buy smaller
amounts on ebay from sellers like this: -

Ditto this. Accu are UK made and good quality, but that means expensive, and their shipping isn’t very cheap.

Bike cleaning concentrate, what goes a long way and are there car ones that are vastly better value?

I use citraclean degreaser from eBay. Used it way back when I was a mechanic, it seems to last forever and you just dilute to taste. Super thick out of the bottle

What’s the best secondhand estate car option for about 4k?
-
• #122385
Probably a Passat or a Skoda - but its 34 years since I've owned a car so others may have more up to date ideas.

Heading to the Vendée for a couple weeks, not far from Les Sables-d'Olonne. Any recommendations for anyone who's visited or knows the area would be gratefully received.

Toyota Avensis

Toyota Avensis good call, not the diesel tho. If it has service history it will be sound.

Depends how much space you need. You're in third generation Octavia territory at that price, they're good but not massively capacious.

Sorry, it's been 14 years since i went (down in La Tranche sur Mer). We did go to Les Sables and I remember they (of course) had excellent seafood there, but cannot remember the names of anywhere in particular). The beaches down in La Tranche sur Mer were brilliant, with not many people there. I think it's a good place for kite surfing if you're into that.
We also drove down to La Rochelle on our trip, as its one of my fave places in France, but it's close to 2 hours away from Les Sables i'd imagine.
Are you taking a bike? Its a nice place to cycle.

Thanks. No bikes unfortunately, two kids instead. We were thinking about La Rochelle for a trip. I haven’t been there since I was 7 and spent a full 6 hours in the company of the local gendarmes after falling asleep on a bench and my family fucking off without me. 6 hours is a long time thinking you’ve got to learn French and fend for yourself from now on.

There is an amazing aquarium in La Rochelle that my kids still talk about, 6 years since we went.

Is there a known easy work around to open Instagram links that are posted on here?
I never noticed how many are posted until you couldn't open them.

a) Open a dummy account that you never use yourself
b) Learn to ignore the posts, 99.9% of the time you're not missing anything anyway -

Hm, doesn’t work for me.
I’ve had an Instagram account for a few years and until recently the links on here worked for me, but not in the last while. -

Would anyone have a recommendation for a good silver tubeless ready rim in 650B with an inner width of 20-25mm (for 47 wide tire)?
So far only thought avout Pacenti Brevet (I think they are tubeless ready from memory) but any other good option? -

I tried this recently. It appears to be impossible to open an Instagram account, you get blocked as a bot before you can set up the account.

Where can I ask on here, or does anyone know how I can work out the geometry of a frame?
Summer bike is a vivalo and I’d like to get the geometry so I can (at some point in the future when I’ve got some money/any money) have a titanium version of it built.
Are there apps which will do it automatically, or do I need to measure everything myself and work it out on a sheet of paper?
Thanks in advance. -

If I wanted to put a temperature sensor outside, where/how should I locate it to give a reasonably accurate temperature?

A north facing wall out of the wind.

10mm or 12mm in stainless perhaps.
