  • From a quick look on ebay 2nd hand they only fetch a couple of hundred quid - and I bet they're slow to sell. Can you even get a middle-isle kamado for that money? Funny because I remember them being a status item as a kid and thinking how ridiculous it was having a cooker you had to turn off for part of the year.

    Enamelled cast iron should be fairly durable outdoors. Although I wonder if you'd have any issues getting it up to temp?

    My thinking was something along the lines of those smokers people were into a while back.
