  • As in the title - ideally flatbar but whatever you have.

  • Apologies it’s a bit off spec, but I’ve got an orbit tandem, drop bars, 54 cm tt. Was just a tad too small for me at 6ft, but yours for Β£200.

  • Haha a tandem?! I'm also 6ft (well, 5'11.5" πŸ˜‰) so probs a bit small for me also

  • Shit sorry! Got it into my head you were looking for a tandem lol. Shame it’s a bit small, best of luck on your search

  • Haha no worries, thanks anyway. At least managed to dispel the tumbleweed!

  • I have this nice Youngs tourer you might be interested in:

The frame size is 58cm. Tubing is Reynolds 531 (Super Tourist?). The dayglow 80s yellow paintwork is obviously still bright and unfaded but has gotten a bit tatty with age with a good few scuffs around the frame. I wouldn't consider it needing a repaint job though, especially if you like patina on your bikes:) No rust anywhere or dents etc. The bike is currently one of my projects so is being restored with a good many new parts being added from what can be seen in the pics (this shows the bike exactly how it was when purchased, with nothing having been done to it at that point). The long stem is gone as well as the saggy Brooks. It also has modern Tektro cantis I'm looking to replace with something more retro. But I'm offering it up now seeing after having had a bit of a change of heart on the bike following my recently trying another bike with a 58cm frame where I found myself too stetched out. But if you liked the bike I could complete the project, possibly fitting flat bars and new gearing setup to suit your requirements. Of course I can send through some extra pics if of interest, let me know.

  • Have sent a PM to enquire.

  • Thanks, yeah I saw this but not quite what I'm after, preferably a little older and steel with maybe slightly nicer groupo

  • I have a F&F with plenty of clearance for touring tyres, not canti but I can supply long drop calipers.
It's been resprayed so no idea of make or materials but think of raleigh, dawes 1980s/ 1990s type build. All threads etc. good with a 105 headset included.

the only bad point is a bearing in the frame that rattles around- didn't bother me but will drive some riders mad! also too small for me at 6ft 3in so should be fine for your stature.

  • Happily get rid of this if it takes your fancy?

I have flat bar set up etc

56 tt, I'm 6ft 1 and wouldn't want to be any bigger on this.

  • Ooft, that's a banger. PM incoming

  • Haha a tandem?!

Get it. Pick up hitchhikers, change your life, write a book, Hollywood beckons. Your only decision is picking the actor who plays you.

  • Yeah I can recommend a tandem, definitely, as long as you have the space to store it

  • πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  • Space is a bit limited, but the main issue is my gf hates them

  • my gf hates them

So did mine. I wrecked a relationship with a cycling holiday.

  • Did they make that into a Hollywood blockbuster yet?

  • It was terrible material. Long silences. Tears. No sex scenes. No happy ending.
