I remember getting them as a spontaneous Saturday treat now and then. And £300 wasn’t spontaneous money then!*

These are the Zoids I remember, must be 40 years ago...

Also from Yorkshire so no chance of owning Zoidzilla.

Oh yeh I think I had the same ones. The amphibious one blew my tiny mind!

We used to go round one of my fathers coworkers house to play with his older sons.

They had loads of Tamiya and also some pretty big Zoids, including the red Styracosaurus.

Currently there is a Green Dark Horn for sale fyi...

Finished the Mustang. I seem to love making everything as dirty as possible!

Had a go at chipping this time, but it didn't go entirely to plan with the chipping medium so had to resort to the hairspray method.

I airbrushed them black then carefully hand brushed the tips yellow

Love the weathering and chipping. Nothing looks right brand new

Airfix Spitfire from Aldi. Cheap but you can improve them.

Raised panel lines though from that era. Meh.

Yep, raised panel lines..... First car I had was a Mini van with string across the door to open it but had fun nevertheless :)
