Does anyone here do soft sand? Fat bikes always remind me of the first guy to cycle the Canning Stock Route in 2005, Jakub Postrzygacz. The CSR was said to be impossible, everybody dies etc. ISTR that 4" tyres became available for the Surly Pugsley and Jakub reckoned they made the route possible. He put a third 4" tyre on an Extrawheel trailer loaded with water and succeeded. Since then loads of people have copied him. He used to have a staggering photo album online but i can't find it.
