My newest pickup - 88/89 Kona Cinder Cone. Found dirty but original so it's had an oily rag restoration with new grips, tyres, cables and pads. I also added the Hinault Turbo. V happy!

I know where this an original Kona explosif, with those rare forks, who’s name escapes me, chained up outside…..almost permanently it seems….so sad

Track Two forks? (There's one (black with cyan and magenta splatter) and matching fork for sale on local classfieds here in Denmark. It is a nice looking thing)

That is soooo cool! With those forks as well.
Shame it's pick up only. I am not really local. -

If you're really keen, I could pick it up and ship it to you, as it is just about 10km from our house.
Looks like he's clearing up quite a collection. -

Legendary.
Can't think of another MTB with more forward-thinking geometry... Joe Murray Project Two fork.

Another paint spatter job I posted this in the non-retro thread a while back.
Dug my old Fisher out of the parent's garage and put some new rubber on it.
It's working well in its new incarnation as a pub & gym bike, 26" is fun.

My 1995(ish) Bontrager OR in its latest guise. Still such a capable bike on the trails round us and such fun to ride.

That looks like a fast bike to me reminds me of my 20’s when XC was fun. Is that a 8speed shifter by chance?

This exact bike👍

Yes! A track 2 fork, which was an option over the project two, I believe? Was it a Brodie?

Ah…but yep, that’s the one..I’ve never seen the owner to ask if it’s for sale
Ha! I did warn you! It was a frame I picked up that I kept experimenting with….it was just before the whole ‘monstercross’ thing took hold, so I like to think I was ahead of the game in theory!😂
Notice I keep saying things in the past tense…..it’s sat with some other lovely things in my mums house now, as since I retired and moved onto the boat, space was tight! My partner and I have now moved into a lovely country cottage, so things should change back again, over time…….i have two full sheds, but am working on space creation, to get the rest of my bikes back home❤️
