Hiya, can I dibs the trailer please whilst I check with my partner if she’d dig it?
-
• #3
Sure. You're welcome to come see it too, no worries.
-
• #4
Any thoughts @Jackytwoshoes ? Trailer is still available I think. And GT too.

Hi, potentially keen on the GT , what height are you roughly please
-
• #7
Hi, I'm 6 foot, 32/33" trouser leg... Cheers

• #8
Might be interested in the trailer but as with the other dude have to run it past the wife, you think can cope with fire roads in forestry areas?
-
• #9
Depends on the roads I guess and the resilience/age of your passengers but in terms of the trailer's integrity, yes - we borrowed one that was a much lighter build than this and took it on lots of unpaved stuff in north of germany and it was fine, just let some air out the tyres and went gently. This is much much more solid and has the basic suspension for what it's worth (don't think the elastomers do too too much) and the steel axle is super solid - I stripped it and hammertited it and there's no rust. The aluminium chassis is pretty strong too, it's just some of the fabric and window panels that have the odd nick. Check away, just get back to me when you know either way. Cheers.

Burley trailers are one of the best brands, there’s a fair reason why they’re bought and used by Centre Parcs.
Spares are easily available and they are well built. They’d easily take on fire roads imo. -

Thanks very much, I think it will be a bit small unfortunately.

Drop on the GT Zaskar to £65 for: GT Zaskar 2001 frame, large: seat-tube 57cm cc, top tube 58cm cc + Planet X carbon forks, uncut carbon steerer + headset & steerer bung + bottom bracket (shimano something) + seatpost binder bolt & downtube cable stops + some polishing wheels & compounds to get the frame really shiny

What's the tyre clearance on the Yates? Looks like with a CS dimple it might clear a nice chunky'un.
-
• #16
It didn't clear 38c Paselas on the rear but wasn't far off. Most of the photos above are with 32c GKs and would happily take guards on top of that if you wanted.
-
• #17
Were those frame size measurements on the original sale thread about right, 62cm ST x 59cm TT?
-
• #18
Yep, seat tube 62 to top, 60cm cc and 59 for TT as you say.
-
• #19
Would take the Dave Yates. Have pm’d

• #21

Got someone looking at the Brodie on Friday and, pending payment, sorting postage etc, the Zaskar likely sold to @Leftfield
Will update if this changes.

You should charge more for the Brodie forks as I may be a famous artist…
2 Framesets (with optional extra bits available), a large Brodie 26" and a large GT Road. Collection from E9 preferred though I have one framebox so could send one (you decide how & pay postage). Dibs then PM please.
ALL SOLD, THANKS!
Brodie 26"
£140 Frame, forks and brand new Cane Creek 40 headset.
+£10 for Shimano MTB BB already fitted
+£30 for Thorn Expedition rack fitted
I bought the frameset (without headset) 5 months ago from @johnnettles2 for £120 and it's the same condition as per the previous sales thread and photos having done only 15 miles since then (I'd nearly finished building it up before finding out we were expecting another kid so space/cash has to be made). With the headset installed, I'd like £140. The BB and Thorn rack are both things I could use but they're fitted so if you want them, they're yours for prices above.
My photos aren't the best but @johnnettles2 kindly let me supplement with his original ones.
Just missing bar tape and cable tweaking. 1.8" slick tyres for reference. Paint on forks are previous owner's doodles - nice but will wipe off if you don't want them. Sorry, NDS photo:
Thanks 'John' for the following photos!
HT = 1 1/8th and 16.5cm
TT = 58cc sloping 59cc horizontal
ST = 52CT
100/135 spacing
27.2 seatpost
Braze ons for guards and rear rack
Forks have guard eyelets and mid fork rack eyelets
Happy to answer any questions.
