To avoid work, I checked out the panaracer pari motos I got from Banana industries, I've got bedsheets thicker than these things. Not sure it's even worth using them for commuting.
The Terreno Zeros look good for summer byways and rail trails.
Cinturatos for tread/weight comparison

Surprised the Terreno are as heavy as the Cintus

A shame they’re not TLC. At least not officially.

Fugly and noisy. No thanks :)
If I found a Vecnum for cheaps I'd probably buy it to try out but I wouldn't pay full retail.
So thing with the RedShift really - I got mine second hand and I quite like it, though I'm not sure if I'll put it on the Crux or not.

Going to ride this next week to celebrate the summer solstice. Never ridden the sections in red before, so any input would be appreciated. Not fussed about having routed through a footpath or a gated bit, more interested about major no-no that would require rerouting or just about missing out on good bits nearby. The jist is simple, keep it close to the M25, so will have to prioritize that over going more astray (looking at you Smoke ring challenge)

Decathlon Quecha MH100 are soft, stretchy, zipped pocket on the thig and bum, regular pockets on the hips. They stay put and are incredibly fast drying. I wear them over old threadbare bibs and they're great. About £15-20 (price goes down a but at the end of the year).

I've ridden most of the roads out west but not most of the gravel. All I can say is that the canal paths are annoying to ride depending on when you're there. I'd rather ride the roads. Too many other people, stop/start. At least you don't have much of them. We did a chunk a while back and my missus flatted on new tyres which made them doubly annoying. Most of your unridden stuff out East I've not ridden either.

Yeah, that's my worry, but we should be there at random time of the morning, on a Friday, hopefully not too busy.

I'd go up via Eagle Heights rather than Lullingstone (which is a common horsey route and as a result incredibly churned up/rutted). Nice little underpass under M25 and pops out (through quite an overgrown entrance to the footpath) next to Crockenhill

Anyone know how long the thru-axle on a Mason Bokeh is?
I do: 160mm
https://masoncycles.cc/products/mason-switchlever-axlesDoesn't seem like there's a lot of "bite" of the thread when it's tight. Are they all like that?
That's kinda the reason to not want a dial on it.
