Im basing this on zero actual evidence, but Im guessing most anti-social dirt bike riders (the type that rag uninsured / unregistered bikes around housing estates and parks) dont do much voting for anyone.

Almost certainly. Most are probably children.

So stopthetories.vote have published their recommendation for a tactical vote in my area and it's unsurprisingly Labour.
I did a bit of reading and they appear to be putting up a parachute candidate, while the Green candidate has been an amazingly positive and visible benefit to the area for a few years now.
I'm conflicted.
Edit: am in a traditional Tory stronghold so had assumed Greens or LD would have a more realistic chance.

I'm not sure "tax breaks for landlords" is the headline CCHQ wanted but that's what The Telegraph has gone with from the manifesto

What seat are you in? Sam Freedman is doing a constituency by constituency prediction and I can tell you what he thinks will happen if that helps?
-
• #1182
Going by the number and type of complaints on my local FB group, that would actually win votes around here.

Just seen Rishi Sunak referred to as "Tiny Temper" and that will never leave my brain now

She lives in my street and is lovely (her husband's a cyclist too, if that helps). However, I'll happily vote for her in council elections, but in this one, it's too important - need to vote for whoever is most likely to get the Tory out. I mean, we'll be in a total bloodbath scenario if Tugs gets the flick, but I'm still voting Labour this time.

Nick Robinson, "After 14 years, 5 Prime Ministers, Boris Johnson lying about parties, Liz Truss almost crashing the economy, and you bunking off D-Day. After all the broken promises, do you really think you deserve another chance?"
Rishi Sunak, "No government get's everything right"

Just heard that apparently the interview that he skipped D day for is not great for him either, he's questioned on his finances and doesn't like it. Comes out tomorrow

He stares at the interviewer and says "We are part of the same hypocrisy. But never think it applies to my family”.

Tice is asked about his appeasor mate:
Actually Daniel, his Dad is on his deathbed and he misspoke under
intense personal pressure.Perhaps Westminster should focus on our economic policy to save
taxpayers tens of billions & stop enriching the banksInstead of juvenile gotcha identity politics

It's, like, rule number one in politics. Never suggest surrendering to Hitler when your dad's ill.

Tough on crime. Tough on the causes of crime.
You'd hope that with Starmer's background there will be less infringement on civil liberties and youth criminalization than last time round.
-
• #1190
Who do you think you are kidding...
-
• #1191
Thank you. This is the encouragement I need.
-
• #1192
I need to find the full interview.
If the followup question isn't "what have you actually achieved" then interviewing is dead

Tice is replying to a comment about the spokesman's response, which is towards the bottom of the article.
Very unfortunate that everyone's got the wrong end of stick.

Tough on cheap tool manufacturers.
"i've got you dad"

Seems they are actually sharing this policy with Labour, although Reform have it earning loads more.

It's on iplayer - part of Panorama.
Really the only questions anyone should ask all Tory candidates are a) how many of the last manifesto promises have you delivered with your 80 majority and b) why haven't you done any of the things in the new manifesto over the last 14 years.

Thought the comparison to Truss was on the mark too.

Won't anyone think of the landlords?
Rishi has just proposed 0% CGT if you sell to a tenant. If you don’t
think that this will be abused I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
Transactions on properties pregnant with capital gains will be
structured as a tenancy to the purchaser followed by a sale. I suspect
they will also agree a lower price, sharing the capital gains tax
saving whilst also saving SDLT in the process. -

The policy is the policy. I mean, that's not really what will win or lose an election. Although, as @hugo7 mentions, one may want to reflect on how officious Starmer may be on these things - especially when it comes to youth criminalisation. But that wasn't really my point.
I guess I'm an outlier, but it hurt my soul to watch. Hopefully we'll have some real policies on Thursday. Also hopefully they won't be introduced in a PhoneShop-esque sketch.

Oh, I agree.
And the 20,000 new police officers
