  • They're €45, I'm a big SMP fan so they've been extensively tested on them!

There's a slight caveat that I can't ship orders less than €160 to the UK because of VAT reasons. I'm in talks with Stayer to get them to sell some of my stuff.

  • The mudguards on the Eroba were in a sorry state after 5 years service. On the rear one the brake bridge mount had broken off and the front had gone wonky after one too many a train station lock-up and has been slowly ground away by the tyre.

  • Last year I bought a cheap set of Honjos, but after a year of not fitting them I've decided to take the easy route and ordered another set of Bluemels. The Honjos will find their purpose one day, they would have been too bling for this bike anyway.

  • Finest mudguards known to man

  • I got a free thing, I'm officially an influencer now. Let's hope installing racks is easier than installing guards.

I also want to complain about the lack of recognition for the Eroba. I suppose it awkwardly falls between the blinged out 90s mtb commuters and the rat bikes? An easily disregarded bike-limbo, but I won't stand by this bike being slept on.

  • Bit of progress on the rack.

  • Rinko bag. I might have gone a bit too weight weenie on the fabric but let's see. In theory it's only a cover, I'm carrying the bike by a strap and strapping the wheels to the frame.

  • Nice! I got one made as a gigantic tote (but for S&S so maybe a bit boxier) an my experience is that as you're basically just lifting it on and off the bus/train, it's okay that it's lightweight.

  • Looks bosh!
    What you up to?

  • I often wonder that myself.

  • I gathered you grabbed a quick picture in front of the train station before taking off on a train somewhere! Hence me inquiring what you were up to on the presumed bike packing adventure front.

  • We’re doing the Gran Jura Traversée!

  • Avec le VTT et Vélo Gravél...
Looks like a great route, the Jura is beautiful.. Wave to Switzerland for me and bless us with some trip pictures when back!

  • I’m not a very productive writer, but I think I’ve come up with a trip report format that’ll please you all. It’ll have to wait for my disposable camera to get developed though. For now a quick update:

    The bike is beyond amazing.
    Panniers are actually good.
    I’m very grimy.

  • This boyo was between my last camping spot and tonight’s hotel, I figured it’d have been rude to ride around it.

  • amazing, no camper there selling snacks and coke? Are you staying in Jura or going to the alps?

  • It's such a great climb, valley views must have been nice with the angry clouds

  • There were signs of a stand but it was closed. I think closed bakery photography could be the French version of gas station photography.

This was my last day, train home from Geneva tomorrow.

  • Probably would have been better if I’d had tested the rinko setup before, or if I’d arrived at the train station more than 25 minutes before the train departed. But all’s well that ends well, homeward bound.

  • That's a vast luggage space. EZ.

  • That is a nice rack.
